Must Try Restaurants in Miami

Luca Osteria

Luca Osteria, located in the heart of Coral Gables on Giralda Ave, comes from the mind of Chopped champion Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli, who expertly combines tradition with new creations, reinventing classic Italian dishes. Luca’s motto is “Good Food, Good People” and it holds with its stand-out service. And if the patate fritte is any indication of the food, then it is definitely good. With eight pasta dishes on the menu, five main plate dishes, and a long list of appetizers, there is something for everyone. And don’t forget to make a reservation!

Planta Queen

Calling all vegans! Planta Queen takes a plant-based spin on traditional Japanese dishes. Their Bang Bang Broccoli has a cult following, but they are known for their vegan sushi and refreshing atmosphere. Planta Queen’s ideal location in Cocowalk overlooks Coconut Grove’s Main Highway, making it the perfect spot for date night or a relaxing evening after work. We recommend sitting by the open windows to enjoy Coconut Grove’s charm while devouring the cauliflower tots and corn dumplings.

John Martins

The long-awaited John Martin’s is back in town. If you live in Coral Gables, you know that the iconic Irish pub closed its doors for nearly three years before reopening with a new and improved design and new owners. With live music every Thursday-Saturday, this spot is our go-to for a lively atmosphere. We recommend the Fish & Chips and check out their “Lucky Hour” for 1/2 price on all Irish beer and select whiskeys from 4-7 pm, Mon-Fri. And if you’re looking for a late-night bite, it’s open until midnight Sun-Wed and until 2 AM on Thurs-Sat.

Gekko

The brainchild of Groot Hospitality’s David Grutman and recording artist Bad Bunny. Located in Brickell, Gekko is known for its signature steak dishes and innovative sushi inventions. The menu features a bespoke cocktail list and its luscious ambiance sets the scene for an intimate, nocturnal dinner. After all, “Gekko” translates from Japanese to English as “moonlight”.

Amal

Amal is the perfect choice for a Mediterranean dinner in Coconut Grove. Amal is a culinary celebration of Lebanese culture and Executive Chef Wissam Baki serves rich and flavorful dishes that pay homage to Lebanese traditions while referencing modern tastes. Amal’s cocktail program is also intentionally curated to bring the tastes of Lebanon to Miami in liquid form. It is a must to make a reservation at Amal to secure your spot at this modern and bright restaurant.

Harry’s

Harry’s Pizzeria, created by James Beard Award-winning Executive Chef, Michael Schwartz, is a Coconut Grove staple. It is the quintessential date night spot if you’re craving artisanal pizza and you’re looking for a casual, but night out. Our favorites are the Pesto, Mushroom Truffle, and Spicy Pepperoni pizza. They also have pizza-making classes with Michael on the last Wednesday of each month – perfect for a girl’s night out.

Giselle

This restaurant is located in the heart of Brickell, making it the prime spot for dinner before (or after) a night of dancing. Giselle is known for its selection of seafood and signature cocktails. If you’re looking for an Instagram-worthy dinner, this is the restaurant for you. Their food and drink presentations are out of this world. They have a special regally-designed room called the “Dream Room” that’s perfect for an intimate date night or special occasion. Giselle is a restaurant you won’t forget.
