Taste the Gables: Our Favorite Restaurants

Miami’s culinary scene is teeming with exciting flavors and unique dining experiences, especially during “Taste the Gables,” a month-long celebration of the city’s cuisine featuring promotions from restaurants in the Gables. In this blog post, we’ll recommend some of our favorite restaurants participating throughout July.

Taste the Gables at…

John Martin’s Irish Pub & Restaurant

JohnMartin’s is a contemporary Irish-inspired pub and restaurant on Miracle Mile in Miami. Established in 1989 by John Clarke and Martin Lynch, it celebrates the art of good living. Recently, in the fall of 2022, Breakwater Hospitality Group’s Emi Guerra and Alex Mantecon, in partnership with Erick Passo, the owner of Downtown’s Black Market Miami, renovated and reopened this historic establishment.

Some of our favorite John Martin’s “Taste of the Gables” menu items include Fried Goat Cheese and Salmon.

Bugatti Bistro

In 1985, “LA ROMAGNOLA” started as a retail shop offering fresh pasta and two daily sampling dishes. Due to its success, it quickly outgrew its space and moved its pasta production to a factory, converting the original location into a restaurant named BUGATTI, The Art of Pasta. Initially focusing solely on Italian gourmet pasta, the restaurant later expanded its menu to include signature seafood, chicken, and meat dishes in 2005.

Not only one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Coral Gables, but also one of our tenants, Bugatti has a meticulously crafted menu specially made for “Taste of the Gables” featuring several pasta dishes. Our recommendations: Tagliatelle Alla Bugatti and the Mango Gelato for dessert.

Bulla Gastrobar

Bulla was conceived by Carlos Centurion, the former owner of Por Fin and a trendsetting expert. Together with his experienced team, they aimed to create a sensory-stimulating place for food lovers. Inspired by Spain’s famous gastrobars, Bulla was born. The restaurant’s buzz is due to its vibrant atmosphere with an open kitchen and bar design. The focus lies on serving high-quality gastronomic delights crafted from the finest and freshest ingredients. With tempting tapas, seasonal menus, hand-crafted cocktails, and an impressive wine selection, Bulla offers a celebration of exquisite tastes.

Bulla’s “Taste the Gables” lunch and dinner menus include tapas like croquetas, flatbreads, and salmon while having a large selection of main courses including a Truffle Carbonara, Pollo Al Chilindron,  and Huevos “Bulla.” This Spanish-inspired menu has a meal for everyone.

Ecléctico

Ecléctico Restaurant & Agave Bar is a bold and innovative culinary concept that challenges traditional dining. With Pan-Latin fusion cuisine, it offers exciting and contemporary dishes that break barriers and question convention. The name “Ecléctico” reflects their way of thinking and existence, encouraging guests to step outside the box and explore new culinary possibilities beyond the confines of tradition.

Eclectico’s “Taste the Gables” lunch and dinner menus features a myriad of seafood and meat dishes including a take on birria tacos, snapper, and steak. And don’t forget to check out their special cocktails, “el toxico” and “amazonica.”

Eating House

Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli, a Miami native, has dedicated his culinary career to blending his Argentine and Italian heritage with the city’s diverse food scene. He achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Miami contestant to win Food Network’s “Chopped,” which led to the launch of Eating House’s pop-up restaurant. Due to its success and widespread critical acclaim, Eating House later became a standalone restaurant.

Found in Giralda Plaza, a few doors down from Rapicavoli’s other restaurant, Luca Osteria, Eating House has established itself as a staple in Gables’ culinary culture. Our favorite Eating House “Taste the Gable” menu items include the Crispy Rock Shrimp Salad, Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Housemade Rigatoni.

Vinya Table

Vinya is a top drinking destination in Gables, offering an extensive by-the-glass selection, lively Happy Hour, and a rotating bottle shop. Their New American menu combines Latin roots, European influences, and Florida produce to cater to diverse palates. Guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails, a diverse wine list, and a grab-and-go option for quick snacks. Vinya also provides gift selections and hosts workshops and tastings, making it a hub for wine enthusiasts to learn and connect with like-minded individuals.

Our favorites on the Vinya Table “Taste the Gables” menu include the Short Rib Sandwich, Arugula & Beet Salad, and Shakshuka.
