William “Bill” Kerdyk Jr. is the President and CEO of Kerdyk Real Estate and the President of Kerdyk Referral Service, a real estate brokerage headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida. Bill has been a resident of Coral Gables his entire life. He graduated from Coral Gables High School and holds a BBA in Real Estate from Florida International University.
Through his focus on personalized and professional service, Bill has built his family-owned business into one of the most successful real estate companies in South Florida. The Property Management component of the business allows Kerdyk Real Estate to compete as a full-service brokerage business. The company’s Division of Bankruptcies, Foreclosures, and Estates focuses on the efficient disposition of REO and distressed properties. Additionally, Bill has served as a court-appointed Receiver. He provides unique expertise, combining his knowledge of Real Estate and Financial Banking experience.
In addition to his Real Estate Business, Bill was elected in 1995 to serve as a Coral Gables City Commissioner. He was re-elected in 1999, 2003, 2007, and 2011. He served the community as Vice Mayor and has initiated many programs to enhance the quality of life for the residents. Some of his initiatives include Parknership, a public and private partnership that has raised over a million dollars to purchase and enhance open spaces, the successful Coral Gables Trolley, the development of a landscape downtown master plan, and the initiation of traffic-calming measures in our community. Bill was the founder and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Coral Gables, a community bank that he and a group of investors founded in 2006. In December 2014, First American Bank, a full-service bank with 60 branches, received regulatory approval to merge with the Bank of Coral Gables. Bill led the merger negotiations and has joined the Board of Directors of First American Bank.
His international business experience includes being the Founder and organizer of the annual Toyota World Junior Golf Championship. Bill runs not only this golf championship in Japan but also organizes and runs tournaments worldwide. He has traveled extensively in each of the six golf-playing continents.
Bill also serves on numerous boards. He is on the board of trustees for Gulliver Schools and is a board member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters. In addition, Bill is an active member of several organizations, including Rotary and The Orange Bowl Committee.
